At a destination wedding, a common mistake is not planning an extra overnight stay.
After a long day that often starts early in the morning, many hours on your feet, and a celebration that may not end until three in the morning, an early check-out can be particularly stressful.
You have to pack your bags, gather all the things you brought for the wedding, and make sure not to forget anything in the room. Your guests also have to take care of check-out. Therefore, it is not a given that you can say goodbye to everyone in peace.
Some locations kindly allow you to leave the rooms by 11 a.m. However, this does not automatically mean that the morning is relaxed. After a long party night, time passes very quickly.
If you stay another night, you can instead:
· wake up without time pressure;
· organize a relaxed brunch;
· spend some hours by the pool;
· say goodbye to family and friends in peace;
· plan a casual dinner or keep the evening completely free.
The day after can be a beautiful extension of your wedding: no other big event, just a relaxed moment with your loved ones.
My tip: Especially for a wedding in Tuscany, it is worth extending your stay. Many couples use the day after for a relaxed brunch, an afternoon by the pool, or a shared dinner.
